Whether you have an idea or a manuscript, I can help you reach your goals.
Projects often begin with an initial 30-minute Zoom or phone call to hear about your goals, answer your questions, and to get to know one another. This step may be handled via email if that's your preference.
If the project is a fit and my availability works with the author's deadlines, blocks of my time can be reserved in five-hour increments.
Projects are evaluated individually and quotes provided (hourly rate x five-hour minimum).
How you spend your time is up to you: brainstorming, written feedback in Word, verbal feedback via a phone call or Zoom, identifying the right comps, reviewing world-creation to ensure it hangs together, researching historical facts for accuracy. We can set up a regular meeting schedule. If you'd like homework or deadlines to keep you on track, I can do that!
Working together is more than just finishing a manuscript; I'm here to support you on many levels as you begin or continue on your career as an author.
I can explain the differences in self-publication and traditional publication. We can create an action plan beyond the manuscript. If you wish to query agents, we can find ones who seem to be a fit for you and your book and ensure you have an amazing query letter that will make the recipient hurry on to read the opening pages of your manuscript. If you have a pitch coming up, we can practice. If you need your online presence reviewed, updated, or started, I can assist in all of those areas: author platform, consistent and relevant engagement, literary citizenship.
